I am Ben Herland, a Norwegian music composer of original scores for film, TV, media and gaming production. Educated in classical music, with a Master of Music Management from Westminster University in London, I have many years experience in blending cinematic, organic and electronic elements to create a sound tailored to each client's vision.
A young man stands alone in an undefined room. Through poetic and fragmented reflections, he reveals his inner struggle: how he wrote in a secret diary, how he observed this person who lived life freely, without the worries he himself carried. The monologue culminates in a brutal but subtle visual revelation. Shown through 6 parts, this short film demonstrates the young mans interactions and affect on the world around him.

I had the pleasure of composing the music for a commercial on behalf of Infinitum, Norways largest recycling company. Recently, the commercial was ranked as most liked by Norwegian viewers in 2025 by Reklamebørsen. The commercial was directed by Andre Koot and produced by Motion Blur.

I started making music when I was around eleven years old. What began as experimentation quickly turned into obsession.
I am Ben Herland, a Norwegian composer and music producer with classical training. Educated with a Master of Music Management from Westminster University in London, I compose music for media projects, documentaries, advertisements, and larger cinematic productions.
Diverse in genres and musical expression, I blend elements of classic cinematic/epic and electronic music to create a musical language tailored to each client's vision.
I have produced music for international artists for commercial releases, primarily within the pop and electronic genres. My work has been featured on radio, television, and recognized in the international press.
